In the book of Acts (Chapter 6), we see a fascinating moment in the life of the early church as the local church grew and expanded to facilitate the expanding Kingdom of God to new people, a new system of care was needed to care for the body of believers.

As we have grown, we have found the need for increased servant-leadership in our congregation to care for people’s needs: to console those grieving, celebrate with those in their times of joy, and practically facilitate the work of ministry at our church.

Our Deacon Ministry exists to serve within our body by coming alongside people in their time of need.

Some of the areas of need that our Deacon Team is able to meet are:

  • Benevolence (financial needs).

  • Visitations/phone calls for counsel and prayer.

  • Personal prayer-chain requests.

  • Widow and family care.

  • Practical needs (moving help, meal-trains, transportation, etc.).

Each Deacon on this team has been entrusted by the pastors and elders to provide pastoral care, prayer, or counsel. If you are a part of Shiloh Church and are in need of support, please feel free to reach out to our Deacon Team via the form on this page or via email.

Note: If you are part of a Lifegroup, we would encourage you to reach out to your Lifegroup leaders with any needs or prayer requests first. Our Deacon team may help coordinate with your Lifegroup to meet certain needs. We believe that we are called as the Church to bear one another's burdens as a community, and we will always encourage people to lean into their brothers and sisters in Christ where possible.
